Pan Men / Yee Men

Pan Men, or if translated literally, means “board noodles”, are flat noodles mainly made from machine which are thicker than normal noodles. They are usually served in a soup with fried anchovies, sayur manis (a type of leafy vegetable native to Sabah). It is sometimes served with a tomato-based soup, or in some cases dried tossed.

Yee Men is a type of pan-fried egg noodles, served with soup.

1.   Xiang Xiang Noodles

This pan men restaurant sells the most variety of pan men and yee men, and some special dishes including teppenyaki yee man and nasi lemak.

It is originally a shop selling various baked goods including egg tarts, bread and others. Now, it has expanded its business to include hot food, including pan men.

Sells not only pan men but also yee men, which is cooked in claypot, giving it a distince flavour.
